I am Athena Boucher, the Director of The BodySong Massage Center and School and The BodySong Healing Center.
This wonderful center is a peaceful sanctuary for clients to come and receive treatments from their practitioner of choice. We have a variety of healers that represent many different modalities, including massage, acupuncture, coaching and counseling, sound healing, and energy work. I invite you to peruse our practitioner listing below and contact them directly if you would like to set up an appointment or discuss a treatment plan.

Our Teaching Room is Available for Rent!
The center also offers a Teaching Room that is available for rental seven days a week on an hourly or daily basis. This delightful 400 square foot space comes with richly finished hardwood floors, windows that offer natural light and can be opened to allow fresh air, and it sits on a hill with an expansive view of Novato. We have fold-up padded chairs, Zafu pillows, tables, white board, and a projector. We are constantly reminded by our guests of the space’s wonderfully serene and peaceful healing energy.

Barbara Juniper, Sound Healing & Spiritual Guidance
Over the years, Barbara has worked with hundreds of people using sound, music and the voice to transform physical, emotional, mental and spiritual pain. She studied and completed training in Sound, Voice and Music Healing at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Because she has been a depth practitioner of many different wisdom traditions, including Native American, Buddhist and Mystic Christianity, she has a profound ability to be a spiritual guide and friend to both men and women. Her depth of presence and compassion infuse her work with powerful healing energy.
Christina Cowger, M.A., L.M.F.T., Couples Counseling
If relationship stress is affecting your life and you are seeking positive change, Christina’s couples intensives and individual sessions can offer you effective solutions. Christina has developed an evidence-based, didactic and experiential relationship curriculum that provides the tools needed to make lasting shifts.
With over two decades of experience working with individuals and couples, with her teaching and lecturing at venues which include Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Dominican University, Sonoma State University and CPMC, Christina will help you create a “road map” to better navigate your relationships.
Christina offers weekend, one day, couples intensives on an ongoing monthly basis.
Janet Caliri, Mentoring
Janet Caliri is a creative, energetic and sought after speaker and coach who brings her innovative and playful process to both private clients and audiences across the nation. Both clients and event participants laugh, wonder and explore their childlike curiosity as they discover the keys for ease in life transitions. They examine the role of images for effective change and walk away with the tools to go from Stress to Ease, Fear to Personal Power, and Anxiety to Productivity in their own life transitions.
Janet is not only the founder of Visible Transitions; she is a product of her product having overcome her own overwhelming transformations. Real change happens as participants discover the secrets to building bridges from where they are to where we want to be.
Kathryn Brewer, Mentoring
Kathryn Brewer has a passion for bringing forth the creativity, gifts and promise of our youth and the greatest harmony and joy for families through mentoring programs, school programs, workshops, speaking and writing.
Her work combines over three decades as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Educational Psychologist and School Psychologist. Kathryn has certification in energy psychology and has done life-changing work with the genocide orphans in Rwanda. She has done personal mentoring with Barbara Marx Hubbard (an icon of our awakened future) and Kathryn’s life-long spiritual search lead to her own mystical transcendent experience.

Kelly M. Gerhardt, Hypnotherapy

Lauren Sugarman, Licensed Acupuncturist, provides compassionate and holistic healthcare. She has been practicing for 10 years, passionately assisting patients with their health issues using Traditional Chinese Medicine to support overall vitality and well-being.

Leta Laborde, Chiropractic Kinesiology
Dr. Leta Laborde has been teaching integrated healthcare classes and practicing chiropractic kinesiology and mind/body/spirit coaching for over 35 years. Her sessions focus on helping those with chronic disorders support their Immune Systems and strengthen their Emotional Resilience.
Focusing on sharing skills for self-care, she is offering a gentle and effective blend of:

- botanical and vibrational therapies for stress reduction

Lisa Pepper-Satkin, Executive Therapeutic Coach
Lisa Pepper-Satkin has a Master’s degree in Psychology. She is a bilingual (Spanish) Marriage and Family Therapist and works in both languages. With many clients she utilizes a therapeutic coaching approach, which centers on the strengths and values of each individual and uniquely addresses each person.
Lisa gently and intentionally guides clients in the process of transforming old behaviors and exploring new thought patterns. Lisa is skilled at uncovering, facing, and embracing the shadow in her clients. This important work allows people to move more easily toward living a life they love.
Lisa works closely and consistently with clients to aid them toward their path of greater joy.
Lori Jean Glass, Certified Relationship Coach
Lori Jean is the Director for Five Sisters Ranch. She was chosen to develop their program because of her passion and commitment to highlighting the importance of helping people with Relationship Challenges.
Lori Jean is current, passionate, and determined to demystify the complexities that are associated with Relational Challenges. She brings both her personal journey and her years of research into all her work with others and her presentations.
Lori Jean is a trained interventionist, a certified Relationship Coach, and has a private coaching practice working with individuals, couples, and businesses.
Molly Cushman, CMT & Jin Shin Jyutsu
Molly completed her CMT certificate in 2014 and is also a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner since 2010. She is a member of the Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals.
Massage Therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu have both proven to be positive and inspirational forces in Molly’s life. She has a strong belief that we are at our best when our mind, body, and spirit are in balance. Disharmonies in this balance can lead to emotional or physical challenges that impact the quality of our lives.
It is Molly’s deep passion to utilize her bodywork to help bring balance and healing to every one of her clients.
Shiroko Sokitch, MD, Chinese and Western Medical Specialist
Shiroko Sokitch, MD is a doctor who cares about you! Her mission is to help you heal and regain the health and vitality you deserve when no one else has found the answers. She does this by using a unique blend of Chinese and Western medicine to help you learn to listen to your body, and find out what works for you.
Trained in general surgery, and working as an Emergency room Doctor for 10 years while attending acupuncture school, gave Dr. Shiroko a broad range of medical experience.
The owner of Heart to Heart Medical Center in Santa Rosa, California, since 1993, Dr. Shiroko is an expert at using many modalities to bring your body to balance and wholeness. She specializes in: acupuncture, chronic illness, pain treatment, hormone balancing, bio-identical hormones, digestive problems, and brain chemistry balancing.

Susan Atamaniuk, CMT & LaStone® Therapy
Susan Atamaniuk, CMT has been practicing bodywork and massage for 24 years right here in Novato!
Susan specializes in healing work that is taken from Esalen and Swedish massage. She has a background in Soft Tissue Mobilization through working on the deep tissue. She has also had the privilege of having worked with Mary Nelson, the originator of La Stone Therapy.
Susan’s greatest joy is in helping women to restore their bodies so they may move through life at their fullest potential. She has a passion for helping you to resolve your chronic pain.
