I am Athena Boucher, the Director of The BodySong Massage Center and School and The BodySong Healing Center.
This wonderful center is a peaceful sanctuary for clients to come and receive treatments from their practitioner of choice. We have a variety of healers that represent many different modalities, including massage, acupuncture, coaching and counseling, sound healing, and energy work. I invite you to peruse our practitioner listing below and contact them directly if you would like to set up an appointment or discuss a treatment plan.

Our Teaching Room is Available for Rent!
The center also offers a Teaching Room that is available for rental seven days a week on an hourly or daily basis. This delightful 400 square foot space comes with richly finished hardwood floors, windows that offer natural light and can be opened to allow fresh air, and it sits on a hill with an expansive view of Novato. We have fold-up padded chairs, Zafu pillows, tables, white board, and a projector. We are constantly reminded by our guests of the space’s wonderfully serene and peaceful healing energy.

Andrea Lieberstein, Mindfulness Based Coaching
Andrea is a registered dietitian nutritionist, mindful eating and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) instructor, coach, trainer and registered yoga teacher. She has specialized in helping people transform their lives for over 20 years.
Andrea utilizes Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), MBSR, and other mindfulness-based, mind-body and mindful eating practices in her private practice working with individuals on a wide range of nutritional issues, nutrition for optimal well-being, disordered eating, overeating, weight management, body image and stress-related issues and health concerns.
She offers trainings and leads mindfulness meditation and mindful eating retreats at renowned retreat centers across the country.
Barbara Juniper, Sound Healing & Spiritual Guidance
Over the years, Barbara has worked with hundreds of people using sound, music and the voice to transform physical, emotional, mental and spiritual pain. She studied and completed training in Sound, Voice and Music Healing at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Because she has been a depth practitioner of many different wisdom traditions, including Native American, Buddhist and Mystic Christianity, she has a profound ability to be a spiritual guide and friend to both men and women. Her depth of presence and compassion infuse her work with powerful healing energy.
Christina Cowger, M.A., L.M.F.T., Couples Counseling
If relationship stress is affecting your life and you are seeking positive change, Christina’s couples intensives and individual sessions can offer you effective solutions. Christina has developed an evidence-based, didactic and experiential relationship curriculum that provides the tools needed to make lasting shifts.
With over two decades of experience working with individuals and couples, with her teaching and lecturing at venues which include Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Dominican University, Sonoma State University and CPMC, Christina will help you create a “road map” to better navigate your relationships.
Christina offers weekend, one day, couples intensives on an ongoing monthly basis.
Jodi Weitz, Acupuncture
Jodi Weitz, Licensed Acupuncturist, is passionate in her belief that people deserve high-quality, supportive health care. She uses an innovative approach-implementing traditional Chinese medicine with modern methods from the East and West.
For 16 years as acupuncturist and master herbalist, she has assisted her patients to resolve their health issues to lead more vital and balanced lives with effective therapy and empowerment. Jodi teaches health classes to share invaluable information with the community to increase preventative wellness.

Kelly M. Gerhardt, Hypnotherapy

Leta Laborde, Chiropractic Kinesiology
Dr. Leta Laborde has been teaching integrated healthcare classes and practicing chiropractic kinesiology and mind/body/spirit coaching for over 35 years. Her sessions focus on helping those with chronic disorders support their Immune Systems and strengthen their Emotional Resilience.
Focusing on sharing skills for self-care, she is offering a gentle and effective blend of:

Lisa Pepper-Satkin, Counseling
Lisa Pepper-Satkin has a Master’s degree in Psychology. She is a bilingual (Spanish) Marriage and Family Therapist and works in both languages. With many clients she utilizes a therapeutic coaching approach, which centers on the strengths and values of each individual and uniquely addresses each person.
Lisa gently and intentionally guides clients in the process of transforming old behaviors and exploring new thought patterns. Lisa is skilled at uncovering, facing, and embracing the shadow in her clients. This important work allows people to move more easily toward living a life they love.
Lisa works closely and consistently with clients to aid them toward their path of greater joy.
Lori Jean Glass, Certified Relationship Coach
Lori Jean is the Director for Five Sisters Ranch. She was chosen to develop their program because of her passion and commitment to highlighting the importance of helping people with Relationship Challenges.
Lori Jean is current, passionate, and determined to demystify the complexities that are associated with Relational Challenges. She brings both her personal journey and her years of research into all her work with others and her presentations.
Lori Jean is a trained interventionist, a certified Relationship Coach, and has a private coaching practice working with individuals, couples, and businesses.
Molly Cushman, Massage
Molly completed her CMT certificate in 2014 and is also a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner since 2010. She is a member of the Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals.
Massage Therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu have both proven to be positive and inspirational forces in Molly’s life. She has a strong belief that we are at our best when our mind, body, and spirit are in balance. Disharmonies in this balance can lead to emotional or physical challenges that impact the quality of our lives.
It is Molly’s deep passion to utilize her bodywork to help bring balance and healing to every one of her clients.
Susan Atamaniuk, Massage
Susan Atamaniuk, CMT has been practicing bodywork and massage for 24 years right here in Novato!
Susan specializes in healing work that is taken from Esalen and Swedish massage. She has a background in Soft Tissue Mobilization through working on the deep tissue. She has also had the privilege of having worked with Mary Nelson, the originator of La Stone Therapy.
Susan’s greatest joy is in helping women to restore their bodies so they may move through life at their fullest potential. She has a passion for helping you to resolve your chronic pain.
